And then there were four… Fusion Dojo finished off the quarter-final matches with another explosive Arakita No. 1 Ringu show this past Friday. The stage is now set for the semi-final matches as the heavily favorite Heavy Metal will meet one half of Two Count, Jamie Jones, who still remains undefeated in a Fusion Dojo ring.
Heavy Metal was in the media today to address his semi-final match with Jones. Metal who was successful over Jones’ Two Count partner Bigg Rigg, stressed the unpredictability of the tournament and how important it was to train for whatever came his way. Metal went on to say that’s he’s been able to study tapes of Jones from the C-CWA and admits that he’s just as dangerous as a singles wrestler as a tag team wrestler. Jones being a former C-CWA Junior Weight champion and 2003 J-League runner up goes to prove how much of a threat he can be inside the ring. Added to the fact that not only is Jones looking towards the ultimate prize at the end, going into the semi-final match with Metal, Jones will also being looking to avenge his partners lost. With Metal’s determination against Jones’ experience, this has the making of being one fiery semi-final match!
And in the other Semi-Final match we will see FU-Army member’s battle against each other as Tiger Prince will take on Fusion Dojo founder Tranzfusion! Tranz was able to advance with a hard fought battle over his old nemesis Venom but was on the receiving end of a post match beat down at the hands of Venom and the rookie monster Gran Buffalo. Help showed up in the form of FU-Army members Veronica, Kikkoman and Tiger Prince. However Tiger Prince was reluctant in helping and instead turned his back and headed back up the entrance way.
Tranz commented today in saying that he had no idea what was going through the head of Tiger Prince. Prince hasn’t been seen or heard from since the Arakita No. 1 Ringu show and is leaving some people questioning his loyalty to FU-Army. A tournament with the magnitude of the FU-Soul tournament can bring out the worst in people and can make you do some desperate things. As a result Tranz could only come to the conclusion that Prince’s judgment is clouded and the chance of becoming the first ever FU-Soul champion has steered him the wrong way. Tranz ended by stating that he won’t over look Prince and will treat him as if he was any other competitor. He just hopes that he won’t attempt to make any costly mistakes.
Along with the Semi-Final matches and Finals, we also learned that Juan Leche and Decay will do battle in a feud that was started 2 years ago. Leche and Decay battled for months before C-CWA’s conclusion and after the Arakita No. 1 Ringu show, both proved that there was still some unfinished business that remained between the two. Back then Decay was the up-and-coming junior and Leche was already well established as being one of the top juniors in the world. But with the laundry list of experience Decay now has under his belt, it will undoubtably make this match an equal playing field.
Also signed for the tour ending show is a special FU-Soul tag team match featuring four of the eliminated participants of the tournament. Venom will tag up with his former tag team partner Bigg Rigg against the team of Hazuki and Anotnio Bras!
