Just five more days remain for Fusion Dojo’s “Dream & Fight” show. There were lots of appearances by the superstars in the media today including The Portuguese Connection. They started off with a loss at Fusion Dojo’s return show but regained some momentum with a huge win in another promotion!
Antonio Bras took on the rejuvenated Terry Fanolua in singles competition and lost in what some fans are considering to be the upset of the night. Bras hasn’t had much luck in the Fusion Dojo ring since coming out on the losing end in a FU-Soul Championship match against Heavy Metal. The powerhouse of the Portuguese Connection is definitely no push over and has dominated the likes of Decay and Hazuki to cement his status as a legitimate threat in the ring. When asked about the loss to Fanolua, Bras was short tempered in his response calling Fanolua a dirty player for dropping him on his head. Fanolua’s new persona included a new finisher called the Wave Break, a modified Fire Thunder, which he debuted at the last show at Bras’ expense. Bras added that if Fusion Dojo officials want to let that sort of thing slide then he has no problem playing by those rules. Bras has been known to play dirty which has gotten the big man in trouble before.
Bras will team with his Portuguese Connection counterparts Jose Cruz and Pero Costa as they take on Terry Fanolua, Danny Dynamite and Tracy Riot in six man tag action!
In other news, the Portuguese Connection recently appeared for Azteca Pro in their Rey de Triadas show and earned a shot at their tag team titles. Bras and Costa represented the TPC and entered a Tag Team Gauntlet match at number eight knocking out Fire and Ice and then Genesis Sekigun to win the match. Bras and Costa entered the match with a great number and took full advantage of the opportunity. They now have the right to challenge the current champs Hell’s Wolves at a time of their choosing. Costa stated that this Sunday business needs to be looked after with Terry Fanolua but once the smoke has cleared Hell’s Wolves would be their next target!
Also in the media was Fusion Dojo’s veteran femme fatal Veronica! This Sunday Veronica will square off in singles action against the man she scored a pin fall victory on at the last show, Tiger Prince. Fusion Dojo has always treated its female competitors as equals and in Veronica’s case, they’ve proven many of times that they can hang with the men of the dojo. Veronica stated that she fully expects Tiger Prince to come after her with all that he’s got. Reports have surfaced of Prince being livid over his loss while being called out by his Black Heart Mafia brethren for making them lose the eight man tag match at the hands of a girl. When asked if she thinks BHM will try and interfere in the match Veronica added that she doesn’t see it happening. She knows how salty Prince was after the match and if she knows him like she does he’ll want to do this alone.
These two have history together as Tiger Prince originally debuted as Veronica’s partner on Fusion Dojo’s inaugural show. It’s the Royal Playa vs. the Goddess in a singles match that could steal the show! It’s all going down at this Sunday’s Fusion Dojo “Dream & Fight” show.
